What’s Covered?<\/h3>\n

The scholarships\u00a0 participation costs (including tuition fees and mandatory academic charges), provide monthly financial support for sundry expenses over the whole duration of the two\u2011year master (24 months).<\/p>\n

The Financial Aid cover typical living expenses in the different host countries of the consortium (accommodation, daily costs, local transport, etc.) while students complete their academic and mobility requirements.<\/p>\n

What is the amount of the scholarship?<\/h3>\n

Each JANUS Erasmus Mundus scholarship provides a monthly allowance of \u20ac1,400<\/strong> for 24 months, for a total of \u20ac33,600<\/strong> over the full length of the programme.<\/p>\n

Tuition and other participation costs are financed separately within the overall grant, so scholarship holders do not pay programme fees directly.<\/p>\n

Who can receive a scholarship and for how long?<\/h3>\n

Scholarships are open to academically excellent students from all countries who are admitted to the JANUS programme, and are awarded on the basis of academic excellence, the quality and coherence of the application, and the overall merit of the candidate\u2019s profile.<\/p>\n

Students who have already benefited from a previous Erasmus Mundus Joint Master (EMJM) scholarship are not eligible to receive another EMJM scholarship.<\/p>\n

Two dedicated Erasmus Mundus \u201cindividual needs\u201d scholarships are available in JANUS, each with a maximum budget of \u20ac60,000<\/strong> to support students with disabilities or long\u2011term health conditions. Contributions to individual needs must comply with the general eligibility conditions of the EMJM grant agreement and can be used, for example, to finance assistance by a third person, adaptation of the study or work environment (equipment, software, accessibility measures), or additional travel and transportation costs linked to the student\u2019s disability. The support takes the form of unit costs, with predefined amounts ranging from \u20ac3,000<\/strong> up to \u20ac60,000<\/strong> per student, depending on the level and type of support required, and complements the standard Erasmus Mundus scholarship or self\u2011funding arrangements<\/p>\n

    • A self\u2011funded student is able to cover both tuition fees and living costs during the 24 months of the programme (in Europe and in Lebanon, depending on the mobility track).<\/li>\n
    • Financial resources may come from the student, their family, employers, or external sponsors (public or private).<\/li>\n
